| DRAFT NIGHT 2006 |
| Many thanks once again to Blowfish for hosting another fun-filled draft! Excitement filled the air as the Captains arrived for cocktails and preliminary discussions. Buster noted that in recent years, 4 suspect Captains had a monopoly on the first four picks. Amazingly, as names were drawn these 4 scoundrels once again pulled the prime picks! Messy Pants, Monty, Pig Pen, and Jamaica took claim to these cherished positions and once again made the most of them. Buggers! The draft itself was filled with the usual bantor and bickering, as well as the Jeopardy whistles and of course the Dancing Gopher. David Toms was offered his new nickname of "Beaker", for the way his hair pops out the top of his visor. Lucas "Glucous" Glover also fell victim to a new name. Blowfish let his secret draft strategy slip when he announced that he "just likes certain names"! Strohman fired back at his critics by reminding them that "it doesn't matter...I'll trade 'em anyway"! Good stuff, and a great start to our 9th season of Fantasy Fun.
